Ward Enterprises, Limited Liability Partnership is a family owned business specializing in long term care services. Comprised of three partners, our combined experience in health care totals over 60 years.

Joe Ward has been a licensed nursing home administrator and preceptor since 1980. His primary practice was in the communities of Lake Norden and Alcester, South Dakota. Joe graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Administration. Among his many accomplishments in the past twenty plus years include developing specialized Alzheimer’s units, leading the development of Medicare utilization and training in South Dakota, and training well over a dozen new administrators under his watchful eye. Charlie Ward has worked as a dietary cook, nursing assistant and certified activity director. In 1989 she became a licensed nursing home administrator and preceptor.Her work in long term care has been in several eastern South Dakota skilled nursing facilities, focusing on staff and policy development, sub acute program development, and ventilator dependent patient care. She has served on the Board of Directors of SDHCA for the past eight years and has done public education on long term care issues in the political arena all of that time. Charlie graduated from Northern State University with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Community Service and Sociology, and a minor in Business and Gerontology.
